Welcome to Minding Mama, my name is Lindsay, and I am a psychotherapist and mama to two little people!
In 2020 I was on maternity leave with my first baby during the pandemic, everything was closed and resources were scarce. I developed this program with the goal of supporting new mams like myself, but unfortunately covid stayed around for longer than we hoped. So after my second baby my passion grew stronger, to support and connect with new mams through a warm and welcoming environment.
As a mother of two young children and a psychotherapist for over 10 years, I have experienced the changes and challenges first hand- whilst acknowledging the lack of support for new mothers.
With that in mind I developed a program with new mams as the focus.
1 in 5 women experience mental health difficulties in the first year postnatal.
Every woman experiences hormonal, emotional, social and physical changes postnatally. Therefore, we have created a supportive, warm and informative space where women can share and be empowered to accept, grow and develop skills to overcome challenges they may face in the present or coming months.
